songwriter, mulit-instrumentalist, record producer, artist, novelist, and dive instructor, returned to America in 1998 after surviving nine years on Bonaire. (a tiny island in the southern Caribbean) When he wasn't diving or performing for international tourists with the Kunuku Band, he spent his time soaking up the stories and myths of the local culture be-friending a colorful array of characters that became an important part of his everyday life.
He draws on those experiences in The Carnival Never Ends to spin a wild tale of mystery and intrigue set on an iimaginary island; enchanting and captivating, brimming with danger and comic irony.
Sparky and his wife currently reside in the Sonoma Valley just north of San Francisco managing the Jack London Lodge in the peaceful village of Glen Ellen, CA.
